Captain of the Sea

The winds blew in and kissed my lips and I know it was you who sent it…

Across the Sea, they travelled to meet me, swirling around me and rejoicing,

Shanti.

As I sat on the sand, looking out at, you barely a dot on the horizon how, but still, my focal point.

I loved to watch you at Sea… Like you were part of the horizon.  Like without you, it was incomplete somehow.  There is the Sea, meeting the Sky – the Sun hanging over the clouds at the meeting point…

But where – is He?

A different home then although you took this one in devotion to Me… and your duty to Him.  Well named as you are – how I knew it was you – even before.  I remembered you – and the exact photo… didn’t I…

His brother…

Another, I didn’t know about until later…

Elohim, to the highest degree I said amazed when he held me.  See him on him.  This easy way with us from Day 1, and… our meeting in the crawlspace also.

Always saving me...

Loving Me.

I see you look up now, with that joyous smile that filled your whole face when you were doing something you loved.  And you in that joy wanted to find me, to glance up at me – that joy, incomplete without Me...in it.

Take my hand and pull me closer, on the deck, tying knots, nets fishing maybe or repairing one with your mates,

And you’d laugh and I see you look up to find me… Share that joy with Me.

Pull me in and kiss you… my forehead…

One we are…

And hold me to you.

Something so precious the Sea gave to you, almost drowning and there was your arm in the middle of the storm.  The rest went down…

I couldn’t save them, separated waves so vast my arm reaching out – holding on to a broken mast.

My Mother I remember – screaming reaching and it hit and broke us apart.  Carried her – and a part of me – away with it.

Holding on – treading when nothing –

But you see – he loved to sail in the storms.

Reached for me as I went under this hand of God…

And I take it and he pulls me on board… and stares at me

Coughing up water and the hair moving from my face.  He stops and stares and I still remember the expression on his face… the wonder in his eyes, so clear

Angel… I am seeing?

And he shakes his head fast to snap out of it and cares for me… gives me water… sits me up… in his arms – I found a home.

Honey you… are a rock… upon which, I stand…

Findlay, a truck outside… always determined to find Me

To love Me… to care for Me.

I asked him once, knowing, the greatness of Him, who he is…

Why…are you here… with me?

When you could be anywhere, the feeling.

What are you doing here?

With me?

Day and night he wakes with me, loves me.  My boyfriend…

You… are Shanti.

And it ends there.

For Him.

I love him… dearly.

Protects me, cares for me, nurtures me, helps me, strengthens me, teaches me, compassion for me…

To

Me

-       Shanti

He saved me that day and I’d say he adopted Me… took me in…

His peace, his calm, his ferocity, his dark… and I watched it all.

One with the storm with the Sea.

The winds blow in and he’d go out… One with it all.  This image of perfection… harmony.

And he’d ride those winds and waves and he’d search… search… for Me.

I’d watch and love him with my eyes, his entire frame, his ship, his being.  This honest sailor, this commander, who loved me.

Who made me smile again as he held me to him.

Captain’s Girl.

Mi’lady known as…

Had no other name for me

But I was allowed…

I belonged to Him.

And I fit in, in my own way,

The black fabrics I more swirled around me, my deep brown eyes accented by the black kajol… my curly, sea salt hair blowing.

Sea witch they’d say sometimes like I could control the winds for Him, protect Him.

Good luck… She is…

His sailors, his crew would say.

Although I was different, they learned to love me – because He did.

He comes alive with you – he does – too serious – for someone so young you bring out his carefree spirit.

A weight lifts,

You – must be Her…

Although he won’t rest, until She is found.

Taking the wheel, I’d steer as he’d step back and smile.

Holding his hands capturing the moment.

My hair blowing at centre

Sky, Sea and Earth below Me

Me – the Fire.

His dark Shanti.

I’d turn to look at Him and see His joy as he captured me on the Horizon

And although a sadness lingered –

As he caught that shot.

Just like that…

I knew I could dive into that Sea just for Him, to find Her

The one He searched for.

That I wanted to be better

For Him.

For the joy he had when he looked at Me – and saw

Shanti
