There was a whisper on the winds and when it reached me She said,
Come,
Come dance with me.
I began to part the lush green leaves of the forest of Danavari, walking in search of She who whispered to me.
Every step guided by Gaia, residing in the nurturing, moist Earth beneath my feet. A child of the Earth, I shall always be.
The winds took up the call, swirling from near and far, encircling my bangles and anklets,
As they took in the breath of life, chattering in musical delight.
Chan Chan Chan
My anklets chimed in glee,
It’s time to dance, to dance and be free!!!
The sun beamed through the canopy as I walked towards the clearing of light, and there I saw her, the most beautiful sight.
Seated below the waterfall, her veena humming in joyous melody;
The image of beauty and grace, Maa Saraswati.
As her image dissolved into an array of golden lights, She bathed me in her glow and whispered in my ear,
Dance with me,
my darling Shakti.
And from within me - a golden ball of energy ignites. Ready to take flight.
I step into the centre of the clearing, and as I bow to the Earth, the winds begin to blow in a way only I can know.
I feel his presence as the winds caress me in delight.
The sweetest kiss softly touches my lips as He whispers through the winds,
Dance with me,
my sweet Shakti.
And so, Lord Shiva took his place across from me at the edge of the clearing, positioned at his mridanga – his powerful arms suspended in midair.
Our eyes lock in tight embrace;
A knowing smile lingers across our lips.
The winds die down, and for a moment, all is quiet – the clearing hushed into silence awaiting that which will follow.
And so it begins, the Eternal Dance of ShivShakti.
Dha dhin dhin dha, Dha dhin dhin dha, Dha din. Dha din. Dha.

The energy of the earth rises up through my feet to my crown, with electrifying vibration, as I begin to move, pounding the rhythm into the forest floor.
The golden ball dancing around me as I spin, and spin, and spin in reckless abandon, my arms twirling wide.
A peacock feather materializes in my grasp, fluttering in the wind, as I dance in musical delight.
Joy elating my entire being as each beat flows through me. Around, and around, and around I spin, until I ascend into the heavens to meet my beloved Nataraja.
As the pace quickens, we circle around one another. Arms and legs moving with grace, precision and ease as the cosmic energy bursts forth.
We dance in joy, love and light – as the cosmos unfolds in rhythmic delight. Earth, Air, Water, Fire and Ether joining as one, as the golden ball between us explodes, encompassing us within the rays of 1000 suns.
We are the stars, the dust, the moon, the galaxies, and all the spaces in between. No longer separated as you or I – but simply one being, breathing in unison with all that is and all that is not.
I am love, I am light, I am joy.
I am all that is.
I am.
Such is the dance of the universal beings – Shiva and Shakti.
There shall they dance on, always in my heart, as I descend into the midst of the Danavari.
I smile as She whispers to me –
My darling Shakti, it is here you will always find me.
Dance to the beat of the drum of life, in joy and delight.
Take flight, forevermore a being of love and light.
Chan Chan Chan
I step away into the moonlight, love filling my being as I shine in the night from my very own light. A smile on my lips as I whisper to the winds,
Join me, in the dance that has no beginning, no middle and no end – the dance of all that was, all that is, and all that shall ever be.
Join me, and be free.
